TOGETHER WE CAN...
NEW CONSULTATION GUIDELINES AND REVIEW OF CURRENT PRACTICE
Both LARIA (the representative body for the local area research and intelligence profession) and PMNet (sponsors of IIC, the inter-agency collaboration platform), are delighted to be partnering MRS with this collaborative review of the guidance provided by the MRS.
Whilst the MRS is specifically interested in reviewing the role of surveys as a method of consultation, the opportunity is being taken to review and examine the wider deployment of methods used in public consultations.
Perhaps, as is the case in Wales, where principles of engagement have been produced and endorsed by the Welsh Government, it's time for consultation to be treated in the same way.
Help us by getting involved in this collaborative project in a number of ways. Why not become a partner or participate in the live debate we will be running? And if you have something that you are happy to share with us - such as good practice guides of your own - it would also be great to hear from you. Use the links below and connect with us at IIC.
Should public sector organisations sign up to a nationally approved set of consultation principles or guidelines?
